Graphic guide to retrieval to a SIP box
This function is intended for libraries that want to offer their readers the option of having documents put aside, which they can then collect from a SIP box.
Creating a box retrieval request by the reader
The reader can request a box retrieval through the web catalogue. The reader must be logged in to their reader account. After searching for the document and pressing the Request button, it is necessary to tick Box retrieval and press the Request button.

(fig. 1)
Handling the box retrieval request by the librarian
The librarian is informed about the existence of a box retrieval request in the loan module under the Action button by the label Box: with the number of waiting requests highlighted in red.

(fig. 2)
In the Action menu, click the Retrieval requests item.

(fig. 3)
The Box retrieval tab contains a list of documents requested to be put into the box. Find the individual documents and scan their barcode or RFID chip one after another into the input field at the bottom of the form. As each document is scanned, the printer will print slips to be placed in the document. For this function it is practical to have a receipt printer. The printing function can be switched off via our support portal.

(fig. 4)
If you do not find the document in the library, you can cancel the order by pressing the Delete button. If the reader has an e-mail address filled in, the system offers to send a message about the cancellation of the order.

(fig. 5)
You can now print the list of documents being taken to the box. To print the list, first select Waiting in the filter and then press the Reports button. Use the Box retrieval request list. To make the requests easier to assemble, the documents are grouped by reader.

Putting into the box
Everything is now done in Tritius; further actions need to be carried out in the program supplied by the box distributor.
Unfortunately, Tritius no longer informs the pick-up box that books have been put into the box (the SIP protocol does not allow this) - to mark orders as put into the box, you can use the "Mark as inserted" button in the Retrieval requests dialogue.

(fig. 8)
Collection of the order by the reader
As soon as the reader collects the loans from the box, the box notifies Tritius and Tritius marks them as lent to the reader - they stop being displayed among the waiting ones in the Retrieval requests dialogue and start to be displayed in the reader's account as loans.
