Graphic guide to printing barcodes

We print barcodes for our documents on the Items tab. Here we open Reports and have a choice of two options. To print in advance barcodes for periodicals or for new documents that we have not yet registered, we click Barcodes listing.

Into the input field we type the incremental number of the first code we want to print, and after it we type a hyphen -, which indicates that we want to print a range. Then we click the green plus and the system automatically calculates the number of codes for a whole sheet of paper (65 labels per A4). Pressing it again adds further pages. If we want to print several ranges or independent numbers, we click the green "snail" button. This adds a field for further values.

When we have the ranges entered, we continue by clicking Generate.

In the window we select the report that we want to use for printing, and choose PDF as the file format.

We open the generated file in Adobe Acrobat Reader and press the print icon. We select the printer we want to use for printing. It is important to select the Actual size option so that the codes are printed correctly on the labels. Once everything is set, we click Print and we are done.

If we want to print codes for items that we already have registered, we must first filter them. On the Items tab we click Advanced search, where on the Combined search tab we enter the conditions by which we want to search for the items.

We can sort the items found by incremental numbers by clicking the Incremental number column header. Then in Reports we select Barcodes.

In the menu we choose the report and click PDF. We print the generated file in the same way as in figure 5.
